A considered approach
Lala Tarangire is designed to sit lightly within its surroundings.
Powered by solar energy and shaped with a low-impact approach, the camp reflects a quiet respect for the landscape.
Materials are locally sourced where possible, and ingredients are fresh, seasonal, and regionally grown. Each choice is intentional, supporting both the environment and the communities connected to it.
Sustainability here is not a statement, but a way of being — allowing the experience to remain as natural as it is refined.
Camp Location
Set within Tarangire National Park, in the Mibuyu Pacha area, the landscape is defined by ancient baobabs, open savannahs, and a steady rhythm of wildlife.
Elephants move in large herds across the area, while seasonal rivers draw a rich variety of species throughout the year. Mornings are soft and still; evenings settle into the distant sounds of the bush.
It is a place where space, light, and nature come together in a way that feels both grounding and quietly remarkable.

The Calm Behind the Wheel
Whether navigating dusty safari roads or fixing an engine problem before anyone else notices it, Christopher handles it all with steady confidence. A skilled driver and experienced mechanic, he’s attentive, dependable, and never one for unnecessary noise – usually listening more than speaking.
Having worked in hospitality and around Tarangire National Park for many years, he brings invaluable experience and knowledge of the area that the whole team deeply respects. His calm presence has a way of spreading through the camp, especially on the days when things get a little hectic.
Ikbar
The Quiet Powerhouse
Always somewhere in the background making things happen, Ikbar is the kind of person every camp quietly depends on. Incredibly hardworking and endlessly reliable, there’s rarely a task he can’t handle – and never a complaint to go with it. Quiet by nature and happy to stay out of the spotlight, he lets his work speak for itself. But when that beautiful smile appears, the whole place seems a little lighter.
Omary
The Magician in the Kitchen
Always experimenting, always laughing, Omary brings both flavor and personality to the camp. As Head Chef, he has a talent for adding those small extra touches that guests remember long after their stay.
From local favorites to international dishes, he loves exploring different cuisines and learning new techniques whenever he can. Fast with a joke and blessed with what we’re fairly sure are magic hands, Omary somehow makes every meal feel a little special.
Nicolas
The Rising Star
Always ready to help wherever needed, Nico brings energy and heart into everything he does. He has a real love for housekeeping, takes pride in the details, and is just as eager to step in and serve guests whenever he can.
Hospitality seems to come naturally to him; the kind of service mindset you can’t train. Curious, motivated, and always wanting to learn more, he’s quickly becoming one of the camp’s shining stars. And once the work is done, chances are there’s music playing somewhere nearby.
Baraka
The Camp’s Young Energy
The Gen Z member of the team, Baraka brings fresh energy and a great attitude to camp life. Despite his young age, he’s incredibly hardworking and always ready to jump in wherever needed.
He genuinely enjoys serving guests, asks plenty of questions, and is constantly learning something new along the way. Respectful, easygoing, and a true team player, Baraka has quickly become one of those people everyone naturally enjoys having around.
Veronica
The Smile of the Camp
Known to everyone simply as Vero, hospitality seems to come completely naturally to her. With years of experience in guest service, she has a special way of making people feel welcomed, comfortable, and genuinely cared for.
Always bringing that little extra touch, she moves through camp with a huge smile, endless laughter, and energy that lifts everyone around her. And if you spend enough time with her, chances are you’ll also hear a passionate speech or two about her beloved Young Africans S.C.
David
The Heart of the Team
There’s a good chance if something is happening around camp, David is somehow already there helping. Versatile, attentive, and incredibly caring, he fits naturally into every corner of camp life and does it all with quiet dedication.
A fantastic team player and a fast learner, he takes real pride in both his work and the beautiful camp he helped build with the team. Reliable, thoughtful, and always ready to step in – David is simply one of those people who makes everything work better.

The Kitchen Apprentice
Curious, enthusiastic, and always ready to learn, Loveness has quickly found her place alongside Omary in the kitchen. As an intern, she’s shown a real interest in the culinary side of camp life, eagerly picking up new techniques and learning by doing. Thoughtful, hardworking, and full of potential, she brings great energy to the team and is rarely far from whatever delicious thing is coming out of the kitchen next.

The Heart Behind the Scenes
From reservations to sales and just about everything in between, Blanca somehow keeps both Lala Serengeti and Lala Tarangire moving smoothly behind the scenes. Bright, capable, and incredibly dedicated, she handles a huge responsibility with impressive confidence – despite still being one of the youngest members of the wider team. Starting out as an intern, she has grown into an essential part of Lala, learning quickly, adapting constantly, and proving herself every step of the way. Our office Gen Z star, and one we’re very proud of.
from Wilderness to Wonder
Before Lala Tarangire took shape, this was open land – tall grasses, scattered termite mounds, and an abundance of ancient baobabs. At its entrance stand two closely rooted trees, known as Mibuyu Pacha – the twin baobabs – from which the campsite takes its name.
Building here required care and patience. Every canvas wall, solar panel, and wooden beam was brought in with intention, respecting the rhythms of the land.
From the placement of each tent to the way the camp operates, every decision was guided by a desire to sit lightly within Tarangire National Park.
The result is a space that feels settled and considered – as though it has always belonged.
